You have learned that an overlay whispering a good first sentence is genuinely useful, and now you are in a client kickoff or a renewal call where the same help would be worth more than it was in the interview. Three modes, three context forms
Kalfi's structure is a direct response to that. Each mode asks only for what it needs, rather than forcing meeting work through an interview-shaped form.

Threads are the difference for client work
Interviews are mostly isolated events. Client relationships are not. Kalfi groups meetings into a project thread, generates a per-meeting summary, and lets the next session start with the accumulated context: scope changes, open questions, commitments made.

What it looks like during a call
Kalfi runs as a macOS Electron app with no Dock or Cmd+Tab icon, drawing a panel window above fullscreen Google Meet or Zoom. It listens to system audio, your microphone, or both mixed, which covers the common case where you repeat a question back to the room before answering it.
When it catches a question, it writes one speakable line first and supporting points underneath. If detection misses something, Ask and Mic Ask force an answer on the last line. You set length and tone before the session, so a formal client review and a casual internal sync do not get the same voice.
The overlay window is content-protected, so it should not appear when you share your screen, and you can rename the app and replace its logo so nothing on your machine is labelled as an AI copilot. The stealth article explains exactly how far that goes.
The honest caveats. Kalfi is not a rootkit and is not undetectable. Screen-capture protection depends on your macOS version and the conferencing app, so test your own setup before a call that matters. And follow the rules of the room: if an employer, school or client prohibits assistance, that settles it.

Who should not switch
- You want resume rewriting, cover letters or application automation. Kalfi does none of that.
- You are on Windows or Linux. Build targets exist, but macOS on Apple Silicon is what ships tested.
- You have two interviews left and then you are done. A short-term plan elsewhere may cost less in absolute terms.

Can I really use this on client calls?
That is the mode it was designed around. Client meeting mode takes project scope and open decisions, and sessions sit in threads so follow-up calls inherit the history and the commitments.
Does Kalfi write my resume or apply to jobs?
No. It is a live-call copilot and nothing else. If application tooling is the main thing you are paying for, keep a dedicated job-search product.
Is there a free session?
